“Wild About Lincolnshire” is a festival of wildlife and it promises to be a lively and inspiring day in the heart of the Lincolnshire Fens. It brings together wildlife and conservation organisations with activities and exhibits designed to provide an enjoyable family day out. Come along to the “Wild About Lincolnshire” marquee at Baytree Garden Centre at any time from 10am until 4pm on Sunday 25 October 2009. Free parking and free admission.
“Wild About Lincolnshire” will be bustling with busy stands and all kinds of hands on activities including making finger puppets, dissecting owl pellets, bug hunt, table top pond dipping, quizzes, making bird feeders, crafts and stories of bees and caterpillars, badge making, and much more.
Whether you enjoy the wildlife in your garden, are an intrepid explorer of Lincolnshire’s fine countryside, or simply curious about bats, bees, birds, beetles… then come and meet a host of friendly experts. There will be enough enthusiasm and inspiration to keep the most knowledgeable wildlife supporters happy and for beginners, the day may spark a love of the natural world, which could last a lifetime.
John Badley, event co-organiser and RSPB site manager said: "Lincolnshire’s natural world is worth protecting and worth celebrating. Come and join us for this very special event where everyone who is wild about Lincolnshire is welcome." |
