Across Lincolnshire, local Wildlife Watch groups provide opportunities for children and their families to get out into the countryside and have real encounters with wildlife. Wildlife Watch Organiser Mary Porter, said: "Wildlife Watch leaders and their members have planned some really exciting programmes this year! Many of the groups are not just watching wildlife but getting really “mucky paws” and doing conservation work to help wildlife too. It's great fun, for leaders and children alike!"

Essential Information
Event details: Wildlife Watch group programmes include a variety of wildlife activities aimed at children aged approximately 7-14 years. Younger children are often also welcome. Some Watch groups also run activities for young people over 14, such as practical conservation tasks. Please ask the leader for further details about activities if you would like to ensure they are suitable for your child.
Costs: A minimal charge is usually made at each Watch Group meeting. This covers some of the running costs.
How to book: Advance booking is essential. Please book directly with the appropriate Watch leader who will confirm cost and further details.
Safety: Many Watch Group leaders prefer adults to accompany their children, but others allow you to leave them. You will be asked to fill out a (confidential) parental consent form at your first meeting. All Wildlife Watch leaders have had a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and risk assessments are carried out for each activity.
