Photography courses focus on Lincolnshire’s Coastal Country Park

Free photography courses have been designed to guide people through everything they need to know in order to take stunning landscape and seascape images.

Under the expert guidance of Aperture Photography and Design the open vistas of the Lincolnshire coastal landscape will become a myriad of photographic opportunities from dramatic seas and wide sandy beaches to the colourful beach huts of a traditional English holiday. The day courses are being held in the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park and will be led by Aperture Photography and Design: * Thursday 2 June, 10am to 3pm at Chapel St Leonards * Tuesday 9 August, 10am to 3pm at Anderby * Friday 28 October, 10am to 3pm at Huttoft The courses are open to all levels of photographers who enjoy being out in the great outdoors and capturing what nature provides.  All within in a relaxed friendly environment, allowing attendees to meet people who are equally enthusiastic about photography. The courses require attendees have transport during the day and bring their own camera along.  Due to limited spaces, pre-booking is required.  Please contact Joe Blissett, “Your Heritage” Project Officer at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust on 01507 526667 to book places. The photography courses are part of a special programme of events being held in the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park, from Sandilands to Chapel St Leonards, this summer.  The events are funded through “Your Heritage” funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and aim to help communities learn about, look after and celebrate the heritage of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park and Coastal Grazing Marshes.

2. The Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park is an initiative led by Lincolnshire County Council. It covers the area between Sandilands and Chapel St Leonards and already contains wildlife-rich areas including five established nature reserves managed by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, which is working to develop another at Anderby Marsh.
   The partners in the Coastal Country Park project aim to widen the appreciation of this fantastic environment, provide high quality facilities and countryside access for people and better protection for wildlife.

3. The Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marshes are traditionally associated with pastoral farming and the area is scattered with historic landscape features and archaeological remains. However, very little remains of once extensive areas of traditionally managed grazing marshes and dykes and what is left is under serious threat. The Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marshes (LCGM) Project aims to conserve and enhance the grazing marshes so that they can be understood and enjoyed by residents and visitors alike as well as future generations.
