Wildlife Watch for Spalding

Children and their families are invited to join the first meeting of the new Wildlife Watch group on Saturday 23 July from 2pm – 4pm at Willow Tree Fen nature reserve.

7spot ladybird (Rachel Scopes)Wildlife Watch, the junior branch of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, is an exciting way for children to learn all about wildlife that lives on their doorstep.  Through Wildlife Watch groups they can take part in fantastic activities including pond dipping and bug hunting, and visit amazing nature reserves to have some first-hand encounters with wildlife.

The first meeting of the Spalding Wildlife Watch group will take place at Willow Tree Fen nature reserve on Saturday 23 July from 2pm – 4pm, and it’s free.  It’s an opportunity to get together, meet the club’s leaders Eileen and Christina, explore the nature reserve and plan future meetings.

County Wildlife Watch Organiser Mary Porter said "It will be great to have a Wildlife Watch group in Spalding once again.  Eileen and Christina are full of enthusiasm and have put a great programme together.  The launch meeting at the Trust’s nature reserve at Willow Tree Fen starts a whole new era of “Wildlife Watching” in Spalding".
