Special events are being held throughout August when large numbers of people head east to enjoy Lincolnshire’s beaches. Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust PR Officer, Rachel Shaw, commented: "We are encouraging everyone to look beyond the sand castles; to explore Lincolnshire’s wild coast, get to know some of the amazing marine creatures that usually stay hidden beneath the waves or buried in the sand and discover the wildlife of Lincolnshire’s Living Seas."
The Wildlife Trust is also asking people to join the campaign to protect marine animals and the undersea habitats in which they live. Please show your support for a network of Marine Protected Areas off the Lincolnshire coast and around the UK by signing a scale on the Petition Fish or text ‘FISH’ with your name and postcode to 60777.
