Celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day

As the birds sing at the start of a new day, enjoy this celebration of spring on a guided walk with the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.

Sedge warbler (Don Davis)Nothing beats the stunning combination of bird song that makes the dawn chorus.  To make the most of this natural phenomenon, the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust celebrates International Dawn Chorus Day (IDCD) on the first Sunday in May each year.

The dawn chorus is at its loudest the first hour after sunrise - around 5am - so events start early.  You can make sense of what you are hearing as experts will be on hand to help you identify which call belongs to which bird, and why they are calling.  And it also simply offers the chance to share a wonderful experience.
