Relax and enjoy the festive season at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve

Get away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and escape to the peaceful surroundings of Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve on the Lincolnshire coast.

Christmas at Gibraltar PointEnjoy a bracing walk around the nature reserve, then retreat to the warm welcome of the visitor centre and lunch in The Point Café.  The café serves freshly produced and locally sourced food and there's a festive treat in store with a special Christmas menu of mouth-watering dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

The café is within the Gibraltar Point Visitor Centre where you can also watch wildlife from the comfort of the Look-Out and browse the gift shop for great gifts and stocking fillers.

Our special Christmas menu is being served from Tuesday 11 December to Sunday 23 December, from 12 noon until 2pm.

TWO COURSES £9.50 or THREE COURSES £12.50

Booking isn’t essential, however if you don’t want to miss out on our scrumptious offer over this festive period please call to reserve a table on 01754 897845.  The visitor centre is open from 11am to 4pm on weekends and from 11am to 3pm on weekdays (closed on Mondays and on Friday 14 December).

Starters

Chicken Liver and Port Pate served with Caramelised Onion Chutney and Toast

Red Pepper and Jalapeño Goujouns Stuffed with Cream Cheese served with Sweet Chilli Sauce

Traditional Prawn Cocktail served with Sundried Tomato Bread

Homemade Soup of the Day served with Rustic Roll

Traditional Roast Turkey with Chipolatas in Bacon, Cranberry, Sausage Meat, Seasonal Vegetables, Roast Potatoes and Roast Gravy

Closed: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Open: Boxing Day, 12noon - 3pm
Open: Thursday 27 and Friday 28 December, 11am - 3pm
Open: Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 December, 10am - 4pm
Closed: Monday 31 December
Open: Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 January, 11am - 3pm

 

Please note: During very bad weather, the visitor centre and cafe may close early. Please be aware that on occasions during severe weather the car park may be icy.

How to find us: Gibraltar Point on the Lincolnshire coast about three miles south of Skegness at the end of Gibraltar Road, PE24 4SU.  Follow the brown tourist signs through the town onto Gibraltar Road. Continue along the road and over a hump until to see the visitor centre in front of you.


 



Notes to Editors

  1. The Point Café is a member of Tastes of Lincolnshire; recognised as supplying a choice of fresh Lincolnshire produce. The Visitor Centre has received the VAQAS award (Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme); VisitEngland's annual quality assessment service for all types of visitor attractions throughout England.
    Admission to Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve and the visitor centre is free. Car Parking charges apply, seasonal car park tickets are available. All groups must be booked in advance.

  2. Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is one of Lincolnshire’s wildest landscapes.  The reserve covers 1100 acres of pristine coastline and is recognised as an area of international importance. It extends about three miles along the Lincolnshire coast from the southern end of Skegness to the entrance of the Wash and includes sandy and muddy seashore, sand dunes, saltmarsh and freshwater marsh with ponds and lagoons. The Reserve is managed by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust under a lease from its owners the Lincolnshire County Council and East Lindsey District Council.
