About the event

Join Horncastle and Woodhall Spa Area Group on the morning of September 7th for a walk around Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust reserve, Roughton Moor Woods. The reserve consists of woodland of oak, birch, rowan and Scots pine. The woodland has regenerated on former heathland, some remnants of which still survive in open glades. The wood has a varied bird population, including great spotted woodpecker, treecreeper, coal tit and goldcrest. We will park on the roadside opposite the cemetery.

You do not need to be a member to join our activities, all welcome!.

There is another walk taking place at Kirkby Moor on the same day. The group will be walking over from Roughton Moor Woods as the two reserves are close together. Please feel free to join us for one or both walks. If you are unable to attend the morning walk please meet us at Kirkby Moor at 1.30pm.
