About the event

This course will cover the history and importance of dead hedging as a heritage skill and a conservation tool. We will start with a brief introduction to the topic in our centre's classroom and then progress to learning and practicing the technique outside in the centre grounds. By the end of this workshop, you'll have all the skills you'll need to undertake this management technique in your own garden and/or green spaces. We shall also teach you how to safely use the tools needed for this.
