About the event
Barton Area Group's regular field trips are open to everyone - you don't need to be a member. This time they're heading to Frampton Marsh. RSPB Frampton Marsh provides close views of the abundant birdlife of The Wash. The reserve is internationally important for vast flocks of wintering wildfowl as well as migrating and breeding waders. Frampton Marsh is free for both members and non-members of the RSPB (there is a £5 car parking fee for non-members).
Meet at the car park at Ness End, Far Ings National Nature Reserve, for 9am to go together - car sharing is available. This is a full-day activity and is expected to finish around 4pm.
To get to Ness End Farm from Barton-upon-Humber, travel west along Far Ings Road, go past the brown signs for Far Ings Visitor Centre and past the turning for the hotel. The road narrows and after 300 yards Ness End Farm car park is on your right (please note that the postcode for satnav is DN18 5RG, but this will also take you to the main Visitor Centre car park).
