About the event

Have a go with our special sea dipping nets and see how many amazing creatures you can find that live along our coastline. Get the whole family involved and see who can get the most interesting find. Don’t forget that wellies or waterproof shoes must be worn by all during the event, as weaver fish can be found in the sand.

Meet at the bottom of the Visitors Centre ramp, 10 minute before start time. This event runs on low tide making it a 20 minute walk through the dunes and across the beach to reach the sea. A maximum of 2 children per adult. Parking is available, normal parking fees apply.

This is an outdoor activity so do come dressed for the weather and we would recommend bringing a change of shoes and clothes for afterwards as we do get a little wet and muddy. This event is not pushchair friendly. Places are limited and need to be booked in advance. There is a suggested donation of £3, which will go towards the maintenance of the nets and equipment so we can run more events like this in the future.
