About the event
Join Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Education Officers at Whisby Education Centre for a special foraging workshop exclusively for young people aged 16-17 years. Learn principles of safe and sustainable foraging, how to accurately identify foragable plants and cook them on an open fire in our wild kitchen onsite.
This workshop is specifically for young people aged 16 and 17 years of age, without the need for parental supervision. You can come and join with other like-minded young people and learn a new skill.
Suitable for: Young people aged 16 years or 17 years. Beginners. No Dogs.
What to bring: Outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to the season. Hot drinks available, bring your own lunch.
Weather: Where a workshop is dependent on the weather, we may have to make changes or, on rare occasions due to extreme weather, cancel to ensure the safety of all.
Parents/Guardians: Parents/Guardians of attendees will need to drop them off at Whisby Education Centre by 11am and will need to return to pick them up at 4pm. Parents/Guardians of attendees will need to have signed the permissions form before the beginning of the workshop.
