Despite the beautifully cold and frosty weather, the Education Centre volunteers and I have been able to carry on developing the Wildlife Garden.
Yesterday we graded a 2m high heap of hazel poles, the product of hazel coppicing a few weeks ago, into three piles, one for hedge posts and pegs and two for creating sculptures for the garden. Together we created some large leaf shaped sculptures which will be attached to the boundary fence. On Saturday the Junior Wardens will be creating around 50 more. Watch this space for more photos!
