The Lincolnshire Environmental Awards 2020 are open for entries.
The annual green award scheme has a well-established reputation and is designed to recognise, reward and encourage positive environmental action in all sections of the community.
Chairman of the Award scheme and Lindum Rotary Club member, Richard Pennell said: “The Lincolnshire Environmental Awards illustrates what can be achieved. This annual award scheme brings together communities, businesses and schools to celebrate their achievements. It’s inspiring to discover what people have been doing to help protect and improve the environment for all of us. And we want to hear from you.”
The categories in the Lincolnshire Environmental Awards 2020 are:
- Streets Chartered Accountants Business Award
Open to any type of business: retail, manufacturing, service - Maher Millard Construction Ltd Countryside Enterprise and Small Business Award
Open to any type of rural business, from farming to nurseries, forestry and leisure. - Lincolnshire Co-op Community Award
Open to any type of community group including non-profit organisations: local conservation, urban gardening, woodlands, river enhancement - FCC Young Environmentalist Award
For schools, youth groups such as scouts and guides, and individuals (nominations are welcome)
The winner of the Lincolnshire Young Environmentalist Award (for schools and youth groups with children aged under 13 years) will receive a cash prize of £300 and all finalists will receive £150.
