About the reserve

Banovallum House is the headquarters of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. It is situated between the Jubilee Way and the River Bain, and the grounds include the North Staunch Field, a wildlife garden, a walled garden and about 200m of river bank.

The wildlife garden has raised beds with interpretive panels showcasing different habitat types, created as part of our LoveLincsPlants project thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Find a full species list and to see how the raised beds were created here.

The grounds are good for a variety of garden birds including finches and tits, song thrush and pied wagtail. Kingfishers can be seen along the river.
