About the event

The heritage craft of whittling wood can be practical, artistic and also therapeutic, with many people finding it relaxing and quite addictive once they start! Practise the basic knife skills you'll need to make a small functional item or rustic ornament - or both. Find out how to identify the right equipment and piece of wood, and learn the essentials of safe handling.

Meet at Whisby Education Centre for a 1pm start. Parking available in the main visitor car park; parking charges apply. Refreshments included and available throughout the workshop.

Please ensure that you bring outdoor clothes suitable for the weather on the day and your student ID if you've bought a student ticket. All tools and PPE will be provided for you and out staff are first aid trained. Please note that no dogs are permitted at this workshop or within the Education Centre grounds.

For more information, please get in touch with our Education Team via email: whisbyeducation@lincstrust.co.uk or phone: 01522 696926.
