About the event
The annual guided walk at the Messingham Sand Quarry Nature Reserve is a free event open to all. It's a great way of getting to know the reserve and finding out what can be seen there. This is a joint guided walk by Scunthorpe & Brigg Area Group and the Scunthorpe Museum Society.
The walk will last about 2 hours and include frequent stops to enjoy the wildlife.
Meet in a car park at the entrance to the reserve for a 2pm start. Please come dressed for the outdoors with sturdy footwear.
The reserve is situated on the Messingham to Kirton road, the B1400, opposite Scallow Grove Farm. Look for the Pylon which is close to the entrance.
