Area Group Volunteer (various roles)
Volunteering for the Trust isn't just about helping on our nature reserves or working directly with our warden or education teams. Our 16 Area Groups are a critical part of what we do. They promote the work of the Trust locally, organise events, raise funds, and provide a social hub to bring those who care about nature together. And they are run entirely by volunteers!
All our Area Groups are different, but they all rely on people willing to give some of their time and energy, whether it's making arrangements or keeping basic records behind the scenes, or putting out chairs and bringing the biscuits once a month for the winter meetings. There really is a role for everyone.
• Scunthorpe & Brigg Area Group has several gaps to fill on the committee but is most pressingly in need of a Secretary. Could you write notes during meetings for future reference? No shorthand or minute-taking experience required!
• Louth Area Group is also desperately looking for new committee members in a variety of roles to secure its future.
These are urgent vacancies right now, but the situation changes all the time. Wherever you are in the county and whatever skills, interests or hours you can offer, your local Area Groups would welcome some extra support, .
It honestly doesn't matter if you can only lend a hand occasionally or you've never yet been to an event. Why not check out our What's On listings, pop along to a meeting or walk, and find out what it's all about? Lots of people volunteer as a couple or with a friend. Please get in touch with the Area Group nearest or best suited to you and just have a chat about what you could do. Your phone call or email could make all the difference.
