Resources for meadow creation and management
Wildflower meadows are wonderful habitats full of wildlife that are part of our rural heritage. Lincolnshire's upland areas were once covered in verdant meadows awash with flowers and the species they supported. Since the 1930s the UK has lost 97% of its flower rich grassland.
Take a look below to find out how you can help halt this decline by creating a wildflower area in your garden or green space.

Wildflower ID guides
These free wildflower Identification Guides were designed and produced by the 'Life on the Verge' project. Each guide was used by volunteers to identify significant wildflowers which indicate grassland of good quality in the East Midlands.
These guides are here to help you to assess the quality of your grassland before you consider restoration and/or to monitor your progress as you enhance your local habitat.
